The Bulldogs, rowing on Cooper River in Camden, N.J., took gold in the 3rd Level Final on Saturday, squeaking out an impressive one and a half second victory. The Zag Varsity 8+ closed out the championship with a third place finish in the 4th Level Final to claim 21st in the nation.]]></description>

The Freshman 8+ boat placed third in its morning heat race and then finished second in its Repachage race. The Varsity 8+ had a harder time in its heat race, where it raced against three top-15 squads, finishing sixth. The Bulldogs then closed out the day with a fourth place finish its Repachage race.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[The Gonzaga University men's rowing program received two bids to the IRA National Championships as qualifiers were announced by the competition committee Sunday. Gonzaga will enter a Varsity 8+ and Freshman 8+ in this year's races set for June 5-7 at Cooper River in Camden, N.J. This is the first time in program history the Varsity 8+ has earned a bid in the IRA National Championships, and the second time overall the Freshman 8+ claimed a bid. The Freshman 8+ made its first appearance in the IRA National Championships in 2006, finishing fourth in the Third Final to rank 16th in the nation.]]></description>
