Sheffield Finishes Tied For 17th

LAS CRUCES, NM - Gonzaga University's Sarah Sheffield shot a final-round 75 to move into a tie for 17th at the Price's "Give `em Five" Invitational hosted by New Mexico State University. The Bulldogs moved up one spot to finish 14th in the team chase at 943. The University of Oklahoma captured the team title with a 902. Sheffield had rounds of 76-76-75 over the 6,319-yard, par 72 NMSU Golf Course. Freshman Rachel Sibbitt had a final-round 79 to finish tied for 54th at 237. Chelsea Stelzmiller of UC Davis claimed medalist honors with a final-round 71 that gave her a 54-hole total of 219 and a one-stroke victory over teammate Bryana Gregory. The tournament was the final fall competition for the Bulldogs.
