Crew Opens Fall Racing Season This Saturday

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's and women's crew programs will open their fall racing season this Saturday as they host Pacific Lutheran University in a dual race on the Spokane River. Racing will consist of men's and women's varsity eights and varsity fours starting at 8 a.m. The course starts east of the Argonne Street Bridge and runs to the Gonzaga Boat House just above the Upriver Dam. Fans can watch the 5,000 meter race from several locations along the Spokane River with best vantage point being at the Argonne Street Bridge. There are also several inlets along Upriver Drive where fans can watch racing.
Gonzaga continues its fall racing season on Saturday Oct. 20 when the Zags host Washington State University in a dual race on the Spokane River.

Oct. 13 vs. Pacific Lutheran Spokane River (GU Boat House) 8 a.m.
Oct. 20 vs. Washington State Spokane River (GU Boat House) 9 a.m.
Oct. 27 Head of the Spokane Spokane River (GU Boat House) 9 a.m.
Oct. 28 GU Class Day Races Spokane River (GU Boat House) 9 a.m.
Nov. 3 Head of the Snake Snake River (Pullman, WA) TBA
Nov. 10 Head of the Lake Montlake Cut (Seattle, WA) 8 a.m.
