Women's Tennis Tallies Win Against Eastern Washington 6-1

CHENEY, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team (3-6) defeated the Eastern Washington University Eagles 6-1 Friday at the EWU courts.
The Bulldogs earned the doubles point by winning two of the three matches. Taio Miller and Katie Rock defeated the No. 2 doubles team of Stacie Pate and Linnatea Freeman 8-2 while Connie Head and Sirrah Williams defeated No. 3 Teri Sherrill and Aki Tsuchiya 8-3.
Gonzaga also dominated the singles matches winning five of six mathces. Jamie Buterbaugh, Katie Sanders and Kimberly Scholz were all forced into tie breaking matches.
The Bulldogs return to action Saturday March 2, in Bozeman, Mont., against the University of Wyoming, play starts at 9 a.m. (PST).
