Crew Set To Host Head Of The Spokane Regatta

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University men's and women's crew will host the Head of the Spokane regatta this Saturday on at the Spokane River. The 3,500 meter head race will start just west of the Argonne Street bridge with the finish line located at the Gonzaga University Boathouse, near the Upriver Dam. Racing will start at 8 a.m. and run to approximately 10:30 a.m. with races in several boats taking place. Fans are encouraged to watch the racing from Boulder Beach or the Gonzaga Boathouse.
The Gonzaga men will race against Washington State University while the women's team will compete in time trails and host a head race against a GU alumni boat consisting of members of the past seven WCC championship teams. Gonzaga will also host its annual Class Day races on Sunday morning with races starting at 10 a.m.
