Women's Tennis Falls To No. 5 San Francisco

MALIBU, Calif. - The No. 5 University of San Francisco Lady Dons defeated the No. 8 Gonzaga Bulldogs 4-0 in the second day of the West Coast Conference Tennis tournament in Malibu, Calif.
Grabriela Ruiz defeated Jamie Buterbaugh 6-4, 6-0 in No. 1 singles action while Anna Skogerboe defeated Kendall Bates 6-4, 6-0. Aaryn Volkmann lost to Carey Savage 6-0, 6-2 at the third spot.
The fourth, fifth and sixth singles matches were suspended.
The Lady Dons won both of the doubles matches that were played to earn the point while the No. 1 doubles match was suspended as well.
Gonzaga continues WCC tournament action Sunday during the final day of play.
