CHICAGO - Three Gonzaga University women's golfers were recently honored as the National Golf Coaches Association released its 2003 All-American Scholar Athlete recipients. Libby Campbell, Kelsey Posedel and Kate Siddell all earned recognition by the NGCA as 297 athletes from NCAA Division I, II and III were honored.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 (3.40 for seniors) and student-athletes must have competed in at least two-thirds of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rouds during the year.
Campbell, Posedel and Siddell all played significant roles for the Bulldogs team this season as Gonzaga finished third at the West Coast Conference championships. Siddell just missed All-WCC honors as she finished 11th at the championships while Posedel finished 13th in the end of the season event.
