Gonzaga Women's Golf 3rd In Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - Gonzaga University finished third and Mary Kate Morgan shot a final-round 78 Tuesday to finish fifth in the Pilot Women's Invitational golf tournament hosted by the University of Portland.

The Bulldogs shot a 36-hole total of 642, while Morgan's second-round 78 over the par 72, 6,045-yard Stone Creek Golf Course layout gave her a 36-hole total of 157. Carrie DeGree finished ninth for Gonzaga with a 159.

The University of Idaho captured the team title with a 622 for a 9-shot win over Eastern Washington University. Kelly Gardner of EWU captured medalist honors with a 149 following a final-round 77.
