"This is a solid class of recruits we have signed for the upcoming season," mentioned Putyrae on the signing of four new rowers. "We have done a good job of building a competitive program from top to bottom and these four young ladies will be able to help us remain one of the top programs on the West Coast. Each one brings a good deal of athletic ability with them and hopefully they will be able to make an immediate impact on our team."
The Bulldogs are coming off their eighth straight West Coast Conference title and third place finish in the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships. Gonzaga is preparing to send a varsity eight boat to compete in this week's Pacific-10 Conference championships in Sacramento, Calif.
