Manwaring Tied For 13th

SEBRING, Fla. - Gonzaga University's women's golf team is tied for 12th and the Bulldogs Lacey Jo Manwaring is tied for 13th after the opening round of the Northern Illinois Spinglake Invitational women's golf tournament.

Manwaring fired an opening-round 78 over the 5,850-yard, par 72 Springlake Golf Resort and Country Club course. Mary Kate Morgan was tied for 19th with a 79.

The Bulldogs shot a 325 to tie Ferris State University for 12th. The University of Illinois leads with a 309 for a 2-stroke lead over High Point University.

Leigh Sutton of Creighton University, Kate O'Sullivan of High Point and Megan Godfrey of Illinois share the first-round lead with 74.
