Varsity Crews Head To WCC Challenge

SPOKANE, Wash. -
Gonzaga University men's and women's crew will return to the water this weekend as the Bulldogs will split their varsity and remaining crews to compete in two different events. The varsity men and women will travel to Sacramento to compete in the WCC Challenge while the remaining GU boats will face Washington State University on Saturday.
Gonzaga's varsity crews will compete in four head-to-head races at Lake Natoma in Sacramento with the men squaring off against the University of San Diego and Sacramento State University on Saturday, followed by races against Loyola Marymount University and Santa Clara University on Sunday. Gonzaga's women will face Saint Mary's College and San Diego on Saturday before racing LMU and Santa Clara on Sunday.
Gonzaga's women's junior varsity and novice boats will host Washington State on Saturday morning at Silver Lake starting at 9:30 a.m. Races will include junior varsity 8+, varsity 4+ and novice 8+. Gonzaga's men's junior varsity 8+ and novice 8+ will travel to Pullman on Saturday morning and race the Cougars at Wawawai Landing.
