Women's Crew Headed To NCRC Invitational

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University women's crew will return to action this weekend when the Zags head to the NCRC Invitational in Lake Vancouver, Wash. Gonzaga will race boats in the Varsity 8+, Junior Varsity 8+, Varsity 4+ and Novice 8+ during the Saturday regatta. Racing starts at 8 a.m. with Gonzaga's first race the Novice 8+ at 9:20 a.m.
Gonzaga will face Humboldt State University, Long Beach State University, University of Portland, Lewis and Clark College, Orange Coast College and Seattle University in the opening Novice 8+ event. Oregon State University, University of Oregon, Seattle Pacific University, Evergreen State College, Mills College Lewis and Clark, Pacific Lutheran University, UC San Diego, OCC, Willamette University and Long Beach State comprise the two Varsity 4+ heats in which the Bulldogs have two boats entered. The two Junior Varsity heats include boats from Puget Sound, Lewis and Clark, Western Washington University, UC San Diego, Humboldt State, and OCC along with two Gonzaga entries. The final first round race of the day is the women's Varsity 8+ starting at 12:40 p.m. includes boats from Gonzaga, Puget Sound, Lewis and Clark, Western Washington, Humboldt State and UC San Diego.

Varsity 8 Coxswain Erin Palmiter, stroke Kari Durgan, Sarah Allison, Cory Nelson, Jessica Kocarnik, Mariah Smith-Miloff, Karen O'Hagan, Nicole Aadland-Lewis and bow Carolyn Schepper.
Junior Varsity 8 Coxswain Joan Aubry, stroke Brittany Price, Kelsey Koenig, Teresa Archuleta, Heather Jewell, Courtney Haia, Stephanie Murphy, Julie Smetana and bow Kathryn Kocarnik.
Third Varsity 8 Coxswain Kris Lund, stroke Liz Sambach, Jessica Michaels, Grace Wallace, Kelsey Raap, Jennifer Pierce, Michelle McMullen, Sara Amatuzio and bow Cherami Cadwell.
Varsity 4 Coxswain Mimi Refuerzo, stroke Liz Sambach, Brittany Price, Grace Wallace and bow Kelsey Raap.
Second Varsity 4 Coxswain Kris Lund, stroke Jennifer Pierce, Jessica Michaels, Allison Ulman and bow Ann Parker.
