Poulin Wins 1500 In 4:04.34

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University's Baraka Poulin won the men's 1500 meters at the Duane Hartman Invitational track and field meet hosted by the Community Colleges of Spokane on Saturday.

The freshman from Sammamish, Wash., ran a season-best 4:04.34 in winning his first race of the season. His previous best was 4:05.96 at the Willamette Invitational in early April.

Only two other Bulldogs participated in Saturday's meet, the final outing of the season for Gonzaga.

Jeff Rigby finished eighth in the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase in 11:21.12, and Libby Brands finished eighth in the women's 5,000 meters in a season-best 20:46.66.
