Morgan Takes Ninth At Wolf Pack Invitational

SPARKS, Nev. - Gonzaga University's Mary Kate Morgan finished ninth at the Wolf Pack Invitational and the Bulldogs, in last place in the 12-team field entering Wednesday's final round, jumped to ninth in the team standings.
Morgan finished with a final-round 80 over the 6,241-yard, par 71 D'Andrea Golf Course for a 54-hole score of 235. Lacey Jo Manwaring had the best Bulldog round of the day with a 78 as Gonzaga finished at 986 to edge West Coast Conference foe University of Portland by one stroke. Gonzaga's final-round 322 was its best of the tournament.
San Jose State University, with a 20-stroke lead heading into the final round, finished at 913 to beat host University of Nevada which overtook Boise State University for second place. Nevada finished at 938 after a final-round 308 and the Broncos skied to a final-round 319 for a 947 and third place.
BSU's Katie Sweet overtook took individual honors with a 223 to edge Jenelle Gomez of SJSU by one shot and Carmina Calle of SJSU by three strokes.
