Women's Tennis Falls To Big Sky Foe

MISSOULA, Mont. - The University of Montana won swept all six singles matches in straight sets and captured the point in doubles as the Grizzlies picked up a 7-0 win over Gonzaga University on Friday evening. The Bulldogs Erica Moldenhauer was the lone GU player to push her opponent losing at No. 5 singles to Jonna Schwartz, 6-3, 6-3. Gonzaga also put up a fight at No. 2 doubles as Erin Humphrey and Sydney Lederhouse pushed their match to a tie-breaker before falling 10-8 in the tie-breaker.
Gonzaga falls to 0-7 on the year and will play the University of Idaho on Sunday afternoon in Missoula. Montana improves to 1-0.
