Women's Crew Heads NCRC Invitational

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University women's crew will return to the water this weekend as the Bulldogs travel to the NCRC Invitational at Lake Vancouver, Wash. Gonzaga will enter boats in the varsity 8+, varsity 4+, junior varsity 8+, junior varsity 4+, novice 8+ and second novice 8+. The Bulldogs won four of five events at last year's NCRC Invitational.
Other schools competing in the regatta are Evergreen State, Humboldt State, Lewis & Clark, Mills, Oregon State, Pacific Lutheran, Portland State, Saint Mary's Seattle Pacific, Seattle U, UC San Diego, Portland, Puget Sound, Willamette and Western Washington.
The first race of the day begins at 7:50 a.m. and will include the Gonzaga men's open 8+. The first race for a Gonzaga women's boat will take place at 9:10 a.m. with the women's novice 8+. The final race of the day is at 12:20 p.m. with the women's varsity 8+.
Gonzaga had a strong showing last week with races against Washington State University and University of British Columbia. The Bulldogs varsity 8+ will race at the Knecht Cup in Camden, NJ next weekend while the remaining women's boats will host Puget Sound at Silver Lake.
