Tanaka Wins Tournament In Native Hawaii

HONOLULU, HI - Gonzaga University junior Reyn Tanaka finished with a 3-over-par 73 for a tournament total of 1-over-par 141 to win the Olomana Shootout that concluded Sunday at the par 70 Olomano Golf Links.
This marks Tanaka's first Amateur win outside of a successful Junior Golf career.
Defending Manoa Cup champion Travis Toyama was two strokes behind at 143 and Shannon Tanoue finished three shots behind Tanaka. Tanaka had round of 68-73, his first-round 68 one of only three sub-par rounds for the tournament. The native of Kailua, Hawai'i, carried a two-stroke lead into Sunday's final round.
