LAS CRUCES, NM - Sarah Sheffield shot a 4-under par 76 to pace Gonzaga University's women's golf team and is tied for 25th after 18 holes of the three-day, 54-hole Price's "Give `em Five" Invitational hosted by New Mexico State University.
Sheffield was the only Bulldog to break 80 over the 6,319-yard, pat 72 NMSU Golf Course. Rachel Sibbitt, Lacey Jo Manwaring and Sage Suffecool all shot 80 in Monday's opening round.
The Bulldogs shot 316 and are in 15th place heading into Tuesday's second round. The University of Missouri holds the team lead at 298 and Michelle Morgan of the Tigers is the individual leader after a 69.
