PULLMAN, Wash. - Colby Litzenberger set a personal best in finishing third in the 3000 meters Saturday at the Cougar Invitational track and field meet at Mooberry Track on the Washington State University campus.
Litzenberger crossed the line in 8:54.72, nearly four seconds better than his previous best of 8:58.33 run almost a year to the day in the Cougar Invitational held last April 22.
Ken Santman was 11th and Eric Mendoza 13th as two other Bulldogs faired well in the event. Santman finished in 9:28.85, Mendoza 13th in 9:31.62. Andrew Fuller, running unattached, won the event in 8:40.94
Emmylyn Bentley ran a personal best in the 800 meters, finishing eighth in 2:25.44.
The Bulldogs will conclude the 2007 season Saturday at the Duane Hartman Invitational hosted by the Community Colleges of Spokane.
