Two Players Post Wins In Zags Second Round Defeat

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Gonzaga University had Rika Mehndiratta and Danielle Farmer post victories in the Bulldogs 4-2 defeat to Loyola Marymount University in the second round of the West Coast Conference Championships Saturday.
Gonzaga (11-13) had the pairing of Aglaya Kokurina of Kristina Zauere post a victory at No. 1 doubles but the Lions battled back to take the other two doubles matchups to earn the point.
In singles play, Mehndiratta posted a win at No. 2 singles and Farmer recorded her victory at No. 6 singles for the Zags. Zauere's match went unfinished as LMU clinched the match with three singles victories before the completion of her match.
Gonzaga will close out the season against the loser of the University of Portland/Santa Clara University match 8 a.m. Sunday.
