Women's Rowing Ready For Charles River Challenge

Charles River Challenge Schedule 
SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's rowing team hits the water for the first time in nearly a month when it partakes in the Charles River Challenge Saturday and Sunday in Boston, Mass. The regatta will be held at the DeWolfe Boathouse and will also feature boats from the University of Virginia, Northeastern University, Boston University, University of Tennessee, and Radcliffe.
"We're all really looking forward to getting on the race course again," stated head coach Melissa Flint, whose team last rowed on March 28 in a dual with Washington State University. "Northeastern, Radcliffe and Boston University have organized a great race with some really good crews. We're excited to race teams in the top twenty and see where we stack up. This is also a great opportunity to iron out our race plan before our conference championships in a week."
The Bulldog Varsity 8+, Second Varsity 8+, Novice 8+ and Varsity 4+ each race twice on Saturday and once on Sunday. Gonzaga's Varsity 8+ races two ranked opponents as it matches up with both Virginia and Radcliff, who are ranked 15th and 16th, respectively, in the latest Collegiate Rowing Coaches Associate/US Rowing Top 20.
Varsity 8+ lineup: Emily Wilson, Katie Atkins, Alissa Stempson, Liz Moore, Hanna McClintock, Sami Koppinger, Jana Holcombe, Sam Cekovic, Whitney Engle.
Second Varsity 8+ lineup: Nicky Talkington, Therese Yrani, Paula Welly, Alexis Curtright, Sierra Tittle, Kat Storwick, Hanna Winters, Lauren Miller, Lana Bowie.
Varsity 4+ lineup: Lindsey Devaney, Sophie Bluhm, Rachel Ross, Rachel Schlosser, Martha Buttry.
Novice 8+ lineup: Natalie Wolfrom, Alicia Adams, Emily Engel, Chelsea Quilling, Teddi McGuire, Elise Perkins, Lizzie Braicks, Maryssa Thompson, Olivia Miller.
