Suffecool Tied For 10th At Wyoming Cowgirl Classic

CHANDLER, Ariz. - Gonzaga University's Sage Suffecool is tied for 10th and the Bulldogs are sixth after 36 holes of the University of Wyoming Cowgirl Classic at Ocotillo Golf Resort.
Suffecool shot 81-72 for a 36-hole score of 153 over the wind-blown 6,108-year, par 72 layout, leaving her seven strokes out of the lead and five strokes out of second heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes. Bethany Leclair of Northern Arizona University is at 146 after rounds of 77-69, good for a 2-stroke lead over Kelly Gillum of Montana State University.
NAU holds the team lead at 605 for a 4-stroke advantage over Fresno State University with Gonzaga at 629, four strokes out of fourth and eight shots out of third.
Jessica Howe of the Bulldogs is tied for 21st at 156 with rounds of 75-81 and Stephanie Corey is tied for 27th at 158 after shooting 82-76.
The tournament is the final tune-up for the Bulldogs prior to next week's West Coast Conference Championship.
