Fallgren Finishes 23rd At Junior World Championhips

LA JOLLA, Calif. - Victoria Fallgren, who will be a freshman at Gonzaga University this fall, shot a final-round 79 and finished 23rd at the Callaway Golf Junior World Championships that ended Friday.
She finished with a 72-hole score of 304 over the 6,269-yard, par 74 Torrey Pines Golf Course - North Course layout. Fallgren's final round included three birdies, four bogeys and a pair of double-bogeys. She mastered two long par 5's on the back nine throughout the tournament, getting an eagle and three birdies on the 430-yard 13th and had three birdies and a par on the 485-yard finishing hole, two of her three birdies the final day coming on those two holes.
Fallgren, from Lakewood, Calif., had rounds of 73-75-77-79 for her 304 which left her one stroke out of a tie for 20th and well behind champion Jang Ha-Na of Korea who posted her second straight 70 for a 72-hole total of 11-under par 285. That was six shots better than Moriya Jutanugarn of Thailand.
