SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Apr. 23, 2010 - www.gozags.com) - Gonzaga University's Jackie Tabb posted a singles victory for the Bulldogs who dropped a 4-1 decision to the University of Portland in the second day of the West Coast Conference Championships Saturday afternoon. Tabb led the Zags (13-7) with an impressive 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles but Portland was able to come away with the win by taking two of the three doubles matches and three singles matches. Tabb and Sophie Lantta paired up to post an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles. The Bulldogs were a set away from taking the doubles point as their No. 2 doubles pairing of Kristina Zauere and Clare Dodge played well but suffered a 9-8 defeat. Gonzaga will face Loyola Marymount University 8 a.m. Sunday in the final match of the season.
