Fahy Ties For 29th At BC Amateur Championship

INVERMERE, British Columbia - Gonzaga University men's golfer James Fahy finished tied for 29th at the 111th British Columbia Amateur Championship, held at the Cooper Point Golf Club July 9-12th.
Fahy, a soon-to-be junior on the Zags squad, ended the 72-hole, 4-day championship with an 8-over par 292 after shooting a 73 in each of the four rounds. The Vancouver, B.C. native ended the tournament with a total of 11 birdies.
Fahy tied with Zander Ritson (292: 74-71-75-72) of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Steven Lee (292: 78-72-71-71) of Kelowna, British Columbia.
Charlie Hughes earned the playoff victory over Adam Svensson to take home the Bostock Cup as the 111th BC Amateur champion.
