Zags Face Oregon State Saturday In Lake Vancouver

ON TAP: The Gonzaga University men's rowing team continues the spring season with a dual against No. 18 Oregon State University Saturday in Lake Vancouver, Wash. Racing for the Bulldog and Beaver dual begins at 9 a.m. The Zags will race four boats; Varsity 8+, Junior Varsity 8+, Third Varsity 8+ and Freshman 8+.
GONZAGA RACED OREGON STATE EARLIER THIS SPRING: Gonzaga University men's rowing actually began the spring season racing Oregon State University on Dexter Lake outside of Eugene, Ore. Weather for that race was less than ideal, with winds gusting from 15-20 miles-per-hour. The Beavers defeated the Bulldogs by nine seconds in the marquee Varsity 8+ matchup.

BULLDOG HEAD COACH DAN GEHN'S THOUGHTS ON THE UPCOMING DUAL: "With such a young group each one of these race opportunities is a chance to learn how to race and will hopefully help us in our championship race in May. The Beavers are ranked 18th in the country so we will see what we can glean from this week's racing."
