SAN MARCOS, Calif.—Three Gonzaga University women's golfers earned West Coast Conference All-Academic honors Thursday as the conference office announced the year's academic teams for both women's and men's golf. Alice Kim and Ciera Min both represent Gonzaga on the WCC All-Academic squad for their excellence both on the course and in the classroom while Han Wu earned All-Academic Honorable Mention.
Kim is receiving her third WCC All-Academic nomination after earning the award as both a sophomore and a junior. The senior has three top 15 finishes and five top 25s on the year with her highest finish coming March 9-10 at the Bay Area Intercollegiate, finishing 10th at 1-over-par 214. During the four tournaments in the spring season, Kim's averaged 72.91 strokes per round, nearly an entire stroke below her season average, and she's shot 75 or lower in all 11 rounds of the spring. A sport management major, Kim has posted a 3.53 GPA through all four years at Gonzaga.
Min, meanwhile, is earning her first All-Academic honor as this season is the sophomore's first year of eligibility. Min has been the most consistent golfer for the Bulldogs all year long, leading the team with a 73.59 round average and has finished among the top 25 in seven of the team's eight tournaments. She's earned three top 10 finishes on the year wither her highest coming October 26-28 at the tough Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown where she tied for eighth and even-par 216. In the classroom, Min has posted a 3.36 GPA as a biology major.
Also receiving her first academic honor, Wu was named All-Academic Honorable Mention after playing in five tournaments in her senior season including all four of the team's spring events. At the Anuenue Spring Break Classic March 23-25, she carded a season-low 219 strokes (+3), tying for ninth place. She's been a steady presence for the Zags all spring, finishing second or third on the team three times and averaging 75.5 strokes per round. A public relations major, Wu has posted a 3.36 GPA in her three years at Gonzaga.
"I am proud of Alice, Ciera, and Han for working hard at everything they do," said Gonzaga women's golf head coach Brad Rickel. "They're great examples of who we want to be as people, students, and golfers."

In order to be considered for the honor, student-athletes must hold a 3.20 GPA or higher, have attended their institution for a whole academic year, and be a significant contributor to her team.
