Men's Golf Named GCAA All-Academic Team

NORMAN, Okla. – The Gonzaga men’s golf team was named a Golf Coaches Association of America All-Academic Team recently.
The Bulldogs were among 90 programs across the NCAA Div. I level to receive the honor. GU boasted a team GPA of 3.33 in the spring term.
To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year. Programs with 3.5 or better GPA’s received President’s Special Recognition status. Teams with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.5 were named All-Academic.
Harvard (Division I), Tiffin (Division II), Webster (Division III), Embry-Riddle Arizona (NAIA), Garden City (NJCAA DI) and Meridian (NJCAA DII) have been named Academic National Champions for their respective divisions, announced the GCAA.
Embry-Riddle Arizona posted the highest overall team GPA for all divisions with a 3.75. A total of 169 teams submitted GPAs of 3.00 or higher to earn All-Academic Team recognition.
The Zags open their 2015-16 season on Sept. 14, at the Saint Mary’s Invitational in Pebble Beach, Calif.
