Zags Build Momentum Day One In Vegas

LAS VEGAS â€" Jessica Mangrobang led the Zags during round one of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown on Sunday at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Las Vegas.

She fired a 75 (+3), rolling home four birdies in her round, including the par-four third, par-three 12th, par-four 15th, and par-three 17th to be tied for 58th. Diana Araneta was only three strokes behind with a relatively clean round with 13 pars, to sit in a tie for 89th.

"Jessica and Diana were both really close today, tomorrow we just need some putts to drop," Gonzaga head coach Brad Rickel said.

Due to injuries, the Zags carried three players and are playing as individuals.

Emma Allen from Missouri leads the field seven-under and the Tigers lead the team field.
