SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- For the first time since 2010, the Gonzaga men's golf team had three student-athletes named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team. The league announced the team and the honorable mention list Friday.
The Zags' Ben DuBois, David Ganz and Tyler Munetake were named to the WCC All-Academic Team, while Nick Nolan was on the honorable mention list.
"They've done a great job taking care of their academic responsibilities and it's a great honor for them to be recognized by the WCC for all of their hard work," GU Head Coach Robert Gray said. "Additionally, Mike Roden and his staff in the Volkar Center for Athletic Achievement have been huge assets in helping the student-athletes achieve academic success."
Ganz appears on the team for the second straight season, after being named honorable mention in his sophomore season. DuBois and Munetake were on the honorable mention list last season.
DuBois boasts a 3.90 grade point average and is working on his masters of Business Administration. He has the third-highest GPA on the conference's All-Academic Team. Ganz has a 3.75 GPA, while Munetake has a 3.50 GPA. Both Ganz and Munetake are Business Administration majors.
It's the eighth time in program history that three Bulldogs were named to the team. In 1995, four Zags were tabbed Academic All-WCC.
