COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Gonzaga's women's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Coeur D'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational on Monday in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Gonzaga freshman Quynn Duong led the way for the Zags with a pair of 72s, going one-over par in each round. Her 2-over 144 total for the day put her in a tie for 14th overall.
"I'm really happy for Quynn to continue you her great play in only her second college tournament," head coach Brad Rickel said. "Jessica (Mangrobang) and Francesca (Santoni) continued with their solid play. Nina (Novilla) and Kaysa (Panke) had good second rounds that really helped us today."
As a team, GU is in 16th with a total score of +29 (597) for the first 36 holes of the 54-hole tournament. Illinois is leading the 18-team field with a -8 (560) score.
GU junior Jessica Mangrobang had the second-best score of the day for GU with a 148 total after an opening round 72, while Francesca Santoni posted a 153 with an opening round 76.
Duong led GU with six birdies on the day, while Santoni had four and Mangrobang had three.
Gonzaga will be back in action for the final round of Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
