"We are really happy to finish our regular season on a high note," head coach D.J. Gurule said. "The team is playing solid right now. We are really excited and focused on the conference tournament. I like our team's mindset and feel we are headed in the right direction."
In doubles, GU took wins on Nos. 1 and 3 to take home the point and a 1-0 lead. On No. 1, the No. 25 duo of Graciela Rosas and Sophie Whittle won 6-3, while Sara Komer and Domonique Garley earned a 6-3 win of their own.
In singles, GU's top three players took home straight set wins. Rosas finished first with a dominating 6-0, 6-3 win on No. 2.
Domonique Garley added a 6-1, 7-6(0) win on No. 3, and Sophie Whittle clinched the victory for Gonzaga with a 7-5, 7-5 win on No. 1.
