Cassie Kim co-medaled to advance to the US Girls’ Junior in late July
EVERETT, Wash. – Incoming freshman golfer Cassie Kim earned another victory this summer and a qualification when she co-medaled at the U.S. Girls' Junior Sectional Qualifier on Monday in Everett, Wash.
Kim, a native of Yakima, Wash., shot a one-over 73 at the Everett Golf and Country Club to tie Madison Wu of Dublin, Calif., and earn a spot in the 2019 U.S. Girls' Junior, to be held July 22-27 at SentryWorld in Stevens Point, Wisc.
Kim's junior career also includes the stroke play title earlier this year at the PNW Junior PGA Championship, along with the 2017 PNGA Jr. Girls Championship and the 2018 WJGA Eastern Open, as well as a third-place finish at the 2018 AJGA Kyle Stanley.
