LOS ANGELES – Gonzaga women's tennis fell to Loyola Marymount 4-0 on Friday in the opening day of the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Los Angeles.
LMU (1-0) got off to a hot start in doubles, taking both matches that finished, to clinch the point.
In singles, the Lions took the first three matches to finish to clinch the match. GU's VLADA Medvedcova was leading her match by a set over No. 124 Katerina Filip.
LMU's wins came at Nos. 2, 5 and 6 in singles play to take the win.
Gonzaga will face Minnesota on Saturday at the LA Tennis Center at 6 p.m. PT. Links to live coverage are available at GoZags.com.
