Round 1 Results

Quynn Duong is tied for seventh

SEDONA, Ariz. - The Gonzaga women's golf team is in second place after Round 1 at the Red Rocks Invitational at the Oakcreek Country Club hosted by Northern Arizona University. The Zags were nine-over (297) in the first round, and play was suspended in Round 2.

Quynn Duong is tied for seventh after shooting one-over (73) in round one. Duong leads the Bulldogs, and is tied for second in the tournament, in pars made with 25.

Cassie Kim and Jessica Mangrobang are both tied for fifth after the first round, shooting a two-over (74). Mangrobang is tied for fifth in the tournament in average Par-3 scoring with 3.00 (E).

Alyssa Nguyen is tied for 22nd after carding a 76 (+4) in the opening round. Federica Torre rounds out the Zags tied for 82nd with an 82 (+10).

As a squad, the Bulldogs are three strokes behind first place Grand Canyon who sits at six-over (294). Individually, Payton Fehringer of GCU leads the pack after shooting four-under (68) in round one.

Round two was called for darkness, but will reconvene Sunday morning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.; round three will follow immediately after. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
