Men’s Golf Finishes in 19th at Cougar Classic

Stocker tied for 60th at four-over
PROVO, Utah — The Gonzaga men's golf team finished in 19th place after the final round at the Ping Cougar Classic at the Riverside Country Club hosted by BYU.
Zach Stocker finished on top for the Bulldogs with a tied for 60th place after the third round. The junior finished at four-over (220). Stocker made two birdies and 14 pars Saturday, and led the Zags in pars made with 37 in the tournament. He finished even-par (72) in the third round.
Charlie Magruder ended the tournament tied for 86th with a 225 (+9). He made four birdies in the final round, and was one-over (73). Brentt Salas finished tied for 94th with a 230 (+14).
Cameron Nicklos carded a 73 (+1) in Round 3, and was 17-over (233) in the tournament. He tied for 97th. Holden Backes was 19-over (235) over the 54 holes.
San Francisco took home the first-place honors with a 41-under (823) performance. Individually, Carson Lundell and Tim Widing tied for first place at -13 (203).
