In Natasha’s short time at Gonzaga she helped us move forward. She came in right away and ran for us at a Conference and Regional, helping the program improve 5 spots at the Conference meet from the pervious year, and 9 place improvement at the Regional meet. Natasha is a Zag, and the hope is she leaves Gonzaga with memories of happiness and contentment with her commitment to our program these last two years.

Erin deserves a lot credit for her commitment to the sport. Her career was full of many ups and downs, but she always accepted whatever came her way and moved forward accordingly. Erin was a great teammate, always positive and always supportive, as happy for her teammates success as she would be her own. Erin achieved so much in her time in uniform, I know she can be proud of that. She worked hard, always wanting to do more, she got better, and it showed.

It took some time, and some patience but Alex stayed committed to the program over the entirety of her career and has had a senior track season that she can be very proud of. Finishing her career off with the performances she’s had, PR’s she’s achieved. Her teammates are proud of her, the coaching staff is proud of her. She’s been an incredible teammate, her subtle sense of humor and wit will be missed. She worked hard, supported her teammates and was easy to coach.

Claire G is a great success story for Gonzaga. Claire’s incredible spirit and enthusiasm day in and day out is something we’re going to miss. Claire will leave Gonzaga and undoubtedly become an incredible nurse because of the way she treats people. Claire’s ability to show up every day and do her absolute best in the moment allowed her to improve season to season and year to year. Claire showed great range across the board, track, cross country, she was as consistent in her approach to racing as anyone we’ve had in the program.

Ally exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete at Gonzaga University. Every facet of life Ally gets the most out of it, she’s grown as a person in every way. She’s been an amazing leader in our program, serving as a team captain these last two years. Athletically, Ally will leave Gonzaga as one of the best middle-distance runners in program history, finishing her career in the top 3 fastest milers indoors and top 3 fastest 1500m runners outdoors. She was just as consistent for GU in cross country, improving her placement at the conference meet every year she ran. We’ll miss Ally in every way

Claire is committed to the women’s cross country and track & field program at Gonzaga, she has during her career wanted nothing more than to push growth and expectation within the program to its maximum. Claire is leaving the program better than it was when she joined. Coming to GU as a walk-on athlete, Claire’s work over her career turned her into one of our program’s best. She was an All WCC Performer for Gonzaga in the fall of 2019 in a tough cross country conference, and will walk away with one of the fastest 5k’s run in our history on the track.

Caroline had a great grasp of the sport and what it took to be successful. She was very aware of what she needed, how to move through her training and was pragmatic in her racing. Caroline was a great racer for us, consistent and solid. I’ll miss the conversations Caroline and I had the most. Really smart, really insightful, very kind and gracious, there’s only good in front of Caroline as she moves forward.
