Five GU runners finish in Top 10
CHENEY, Wash. — Gonzaga women's cross country opened its fall season with a second-place showing at the Clash of the Inland Northwest, placing five runners in the event's Top 10 led by a third-place finish from Makenna Edwards (14:51.6).

Freshman Anna Grabowski (Fifth, 14:56.0) was the Zags' next-fastest finisher in her collegiate debut, followed by Kate Donaldson (sixth, 15:01.6) and another freshman in Anna Lanigan (seventh, 15:06.8), Eighth-place finisher Sadie Tuckwood (15:10.6), who won the individual title at Clash last fall, led the pack for much of the way and looked poised to repeat until illness hindered her on the backstretch.
