Bulldogs Place Third and Kim Ties for Fifth

Duong and Lee climb leaderboard in final round
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho – Gonzaga women's golf placed third at the fifth annual Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invitational Tuesday. The Zags' Cassie Kim tied for fifth at one-under (212).
The Bulldogs moved up a spot on the team leaderboard in the third round. GU finished eight-over (860) and was two-over (+2) on the final day, the event's lowest final round score. The Zags led the tournament with 178 pars and an average of 4.15 (+20) on Par-4 holes.
Kim made 13 pars in her final round, finishing three-over (74). She led the 100-golfer field going one-under (3.96) on the course's Par-4 holes.
Quynn Duong and Grace Lee both rose into the Top-20 on Day 3. Duong climbed 18 spots carding a 68 (-3) in the third round. She finished in a tie for 11th at one-over (214). The senior was even-par (4.00) on the course's Par-4 holes, which was second in the tournament, and made 12 birdies in the event. Lee moved up 12 spots, tying for 17th at three-over (216). She was one-under (70) Tuesday.
Chaewon Baek's 43 pars were the most in the tournament. She tied for 21st at five-over (218). She was three-over (74) in Round 3. Taylor Mularski placed 90th with a 235 (+22) three-round total.
Playing as individuals, Mary Scott Wolfe (+19, 232) and Alyssa Nguyen (+30, 243) finished in 77th and 96th.
Sacramento State was the team champion and the lone team to finish under par at one-under (851). Nevada was second at five-over (857).
Jennifer Koga led Sacramento State to the team title with a co-medalist finish. She and UC-Riverside's Kate Villegas were both four-under (209).
