Jace Minni and Zach Stocker tie for eighth place
ST. GEORGE, Utah – Gonzaga men's golf finished its opening event of the spring schedule in fourth place at the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational Sunday. Â

The Bulldogs were led by Jace Minni and Zach Stocker. Both Minni and Stocker tied for eighth at two-under (214). Minni opened the tournament at even-par (72), before ending the second round at two-over (74). He finished the final round four-under (68). The junior made 23 birdies and 33 pars in the tournament. He was two-under (3.93) on the course's Par-4 holes. Stocker started the tournament at one-over (73, before finishing his final rounds at even (72) and three-under (69). He made a tournament-high three eagles and 34 pars.

As a team, the Zags scored 284 in Round 3, the team's low round of the tournament. Over the three days, Gonzaga finished two-over (886).Â

Guillermo Polo Bodart tied for 14th at even-par (216). He carded a 70 (-2) in both the second and third rounds. He made 36 pars and 10 birdies in the tournament. Polo Bodart was even on the course's Par-3 holes (3.00). Â

Ethan Flynn was one-under (71) in the second round. He tied for 35th at eight over (224). Brentt Salas 24-over (240) in 63rd place. Playing as an individual, Grant Johnson was 15-over (231) in the tournament.

Utah Valley's Brady McKinlay took medalist honors at nine-under (207). Tarleton State's Jack Anderson placed second at eight-under (208). Utah Valley took the title. The Wolverines were 22-under (842), while second place Weber State was at two-under (862). Â

The Zags continue their spring slate with The Joust tournament hosted by Cal Baptist in Jurupa Valley, Calif., Feb. 20-21.Â
