Flynn ties for 38th in the Grand Canyon Invitational
PHOENIX, Ariz. – Gonzaga men's golf placed 16th at the Grand Canyon Invitational which finished at the GCU Championship Golf Course Tuesday.
Leading the Bulldogs, Ethan Flynn tied for 38th at four-over (217). He carded a 70 (-1) in his first round before finishing the following rounds at 74 (+3) and 73 (+2). Across the tournament, Flynn finished with 31 pars and 11 birdies. He went six-under (4.33) on the course's Par-5 holes.
As a team, the Zags finished the Grand Canyon Invitational at 35-over (887). Their lowest round was in their final round scoring a combined 295. They made 164 pars as a team, which was fifth most in the tournament.
Guillermo Polo Bodart tied for 61st at 10-over (223). He made 37 pars and 4 birdies in the tournament. Zach Stocker tied for 72nd at 12-over (225) and Jace Minni tied for 75th at 13-over (226). Clayton Thatcher tied for 80th at 15-over (228).
North Dakota State's Nate Adams took home medalist honors at 13-under (200). TCU claimed the team title at 17-under (835) holding off both North Dakota State and Grand Canyon at 16-under (836).
Gonzaga is scheduled to travel to Eugene, Ore., for its next event at the Ducks Invitational March 27-28.
