Minni and Thatcher Named Academic All-WCC

Zag duo receive honor for efforts in classroom
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Gonzaga men's golfers Jace Minni and Clayton Thatcher were named Academic All-West Coast Conference the league announced Wednesday.
Thatcher boasted a 3.93 grade point average, earning a degree in business administration. Minni is also majoring in Business Administration and has a 3.41 GPA. Both golfers earned the honor for the first time. Minni was honorable mention Academic All-Conference and a GCAA All-America Scholar last season.
Minni owned the second-lowest season scoring average in 2022-23 at 73.33, which ranks eighth in program history. He had two Top-10 finishes this past season, winning the SU Redhawk Invitational on April 4. The junior was the first Bulldog to win an event since 2016.
Thatcher appeared in five events this past season and had a 75.79 scoring average. His top finish was a tie for 24th at The Joust in February.
