Robertson, Janecko Sweep WCC Runner of the Week Honors

Both runners led the Zags to a program sweep at the Sasquatch Invite on Friday
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Ireland Robertson and Sean Janecko from Gonzaga won Credit Union 1 WCC Women's and Men's Cross Country Runners of the Week. This is the first Conference weekly award this season for both Zag harriers.
CREDIT UNION 1 WCC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK – IRELAND ROBERTSON, SR. – GONZAGA
Ireland Robertson set a course record at the Spokane Polo Club grounds on Friday, leading the Gonzaga women to a 5K team title at the Sasquatch Invite. Robertson won the individual title with a time of 17:57.4, and all five GU point-scorers finished in the top seven. Gonzaga closes the regular season having won four of the last five Credit Union 1 WCC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week awards.
CREDIT UNION 1 WCC MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK – SEAN JANECKO, SO. – GONZAGA
Sean Janecko placed fourth at the Sasquatch Invite on Friday, leading the Gonzaga men to another team title at that meet. The redshirt sophomore finished with a time of 24:42.6 as GU scored 21 team points to claim the title. Gonzaga closes the regular season having won two of the last three Credit Union 1 WCC Men's Cross Country Runners of the Week awards.
