MXC: Laird Named to WCC All-Academic Team

Five Zags were also named All-Academic honorable mention
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Gonzaga men's cross country's Cooper Laird was all named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team, the league announced Friday.
In addition, Nick Braz, Bryce Cerkowniak, and Mason Kissell, Wil Smith, and Paul Talens were all tabbed WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention.
Laird boasts a 3.90 cumulative grade point average while studying Psychology as he continues his senior season for Gonzaga cross country and track & field. He now owns two WCC All-Academic Team honors to go with one College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and one USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honor.
All six of Gonzaga's honorees played a major role in yet another big season as the Bulldog men continue to rise on the national stage. Cerkowniak, Laird, Smith, and Talens each earned All-WCC Finishes, while Smith and Cerkowniak were named All-West Region at the NCAA West Regional Championships this season.
