WXC: Trio of Zags named to WCC All-Academic Team

Three others were also named All-Academic honorable mention
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Gonzaga women's cross country's Willow Collins, Alexi Fogo, and Jade Rypkema were all named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team, the league announced Friday.
In addition, Kate Donaldson, Jessica Frydenlund, and Anna Grabowski were all tabbed WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention.
Each of the All-Academic Team honorees for Gonzaga carry perfect 4.0 grade point averages. Collins is studying Journalism, Fogo is studying Biology and Psychology, and Rypkema is studying Sport Management and Communication Studies. The GU women secured three All-Academic Team nods for the second consecutive season.
All six of Gonzaga's honorees played a major role in claiming their first NCAA Championships bid since 2015. Collins, Frydenlund, and Rypkema each earned All-WCC finishes at the West Coast Conference Championships, and Collins was named All-West Region this season.
