DAVIS, Calif. – Gonzaga's
Guillermo Polo Bodart and
Jace Minni tied for 16th at the 2024 El Macero Classic Sunday. The Bulldogs tied for 10th as a team at the tournament hosted by UC Davis at the El Macero Country Club.
Minni and Polo Bodart were both six-over (222) in the three-day event. Polo Bodart's 36 pars matched the third-most in the 104-golfer field, while Minni matched the second-best outing on the course's Par-3 holes with an average of 3.0 (E).
Minni was consistent throughout the tournament carding a 74 (+2) in each of the three rounds. Polo Bodart opened with a 74 (+2) but closed with a team-low round of 71 (-1) on Day 3. He made four birdies and 11 pars in the final round. Minni made two birdies and 12 pars Sunday.
The Bulldogs totaled a 291 (+3), the team's lowest round in the tournament, on the final day. GU finished 10
th at 42-over (906).
Daniel Nunez tied for 61
st at 15-over (231). His final round featured an eagle on the Par-5 18
th hole. The senior closed the tournament with a 74 (+2).
Ethan Flynn tied for 75
th at 19-over (235). He made four birdies in his even-par (72) third round.
Bruce Chang tied for 82
nd at 21-over (237), and
Andrew Reinhardt was 23-over (239) playing as an individual. Both had their lowest rounds of the tournament on the final day, Chang was six-over (78) and Reinhardt was five-over (77).
Saint Mary's won the team title at 15-over (879), while Grand Canyon and San Diego tied for second at 22-over (886).
Nevada's Enrique Dimayuga earned medalist honors finishing seven-under (209). He shot up the leaderboard after carding a 64 (-8) in the final round. Tommaso Zorzetto of Grand Canyon was second at four-under (212).
