Gonzaga Adds Tarleton State Transfer Emmanuel Innocenti

Italian native was named to All-WAC Defensive and Freshman Teams

SPOKANE, Wash. – Emmanuel Innocenti, a transfer from Tarleton State, signed a financial aid agreement to attend Gonzaga University and will join the men's basketball team for the 2024-25 season.
 
Innocenti, a native of Ranzanico, Italy, joins the Zags after appearing in all 35 games for Tarleton State as a freshman last season. The 6-5, 198-pound forward, was named to the All-Western Athletic Conference Defensive and Freshman Teams in 2023-24.
 
In total, Innocenti played in 1,109 minutes, the most by a freshman in Tarleton's Div. 1 era and his 33.8 minutes per game in conference play ranked ninth among all WAC individuals. Among all freshman in the nation, he ranked fourth in defensive rebounds per game (5.37), eighth in steals (1.69) and ninth in rebounds (6.37).
 
Innocenti ranked in the single season top 10 in the Texans' Div. 1 era in five different categories: 31.7 minute per game (8th), 59 steals (2nd) - also tied for sixth in program history, 223 rebounds (2nd). He averaged 1.9 steals per game in conference play, which was second in the WAC. He set Texan Div. 1 era single season records with 103 rebounds and 188 defensive rebounds. Innocenti averaged 5.37 defensive boards per game which ranked fifth in the WAC. He ranked in top 15 in the WAC in rebounds (6.37) and assists (2.94).
 
Prior to Tarleton State, Innocenti played four seasons for Stella Azzurra Roma in the Italian third division Serie B. He played on the U18 Italian national team in 2022-23, where he averaged 11.1 points and 7.1 rebounds in seven games averaging 25.6 minutes per game.
