SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Gonzaga women's track concluded their regular season on Saturday at the West Coast Last Chance meet. Six Bulldogs earned medals at Cox Stadium with two new Top Ten program entries.
Jessica Frydenlund, just two weeks after a PR Steeplechase time, improved her personal best again with a 10:21.68 and inched closer to Shelby Mills' 9:56.17 record time.
Kate Donaldson placed second behind Frydenlund in 10:36.21, jumping up into No. 4 on the program Top Ten.
In the 3000-meters,
Logan Hofstee earned the win in 9:26.78, just missing a personal best time.
Ellie Armbruster recorded the third Zag win of the morning, placing first in the 800 in 2:09.87. Her season-best 2:06.41 still sits on the bubble for the NCAA West Prelims, but Armbruster is likely to qualify after athletes scratch next week.
The 1500 concluded the day for Gonzaga, as
Willow Collins,
Anna Grabowski, and
Ireland Robertson took to the track. Collins placed second in 4:18.21, Grabowski third in 4:23.54, and Robertson fifth in 4:30.52.
