LAKE NATOMA, Calif. – Gonzaga men's rowing wrapped up competition at the MPSF Championships this weekend, competing against some of the top West Coast crews on the waters of Lake Natoma as the Varsity Eight boat qualified for the IRA National Championships.
"Great day of racing for us," head coach
Dan Gehn said. "The Varsity Eight came through at the end of the race to get through Santa Clara and earn a team qualification bid for the IRA National Championships!"
Gonzaga's top boat finished second in the Petite Final of the Varsity Eight, crossing the line in 6:01.87. Gonzaga's 1V8 boat delivered a competitive performance, finishing only behind UC San Diego with a time of 5:59.275. The race advances the boat to the IRA National Championships
