Women's Rowing Completes Competition at Dexter Lake Invite

The Zags race at home next Friday with their non-conference boats

Gonzaga women's rowing showed strong competitiveness across all events Saturday, highlighted by a thrilling victory in the 3V4 and several close runner-up finishes against a tough OSU squad.

The Bulldogs got off to a fast start in the morning, with the 3V4 boat narrowly edging OSU by just over half a second, crossing the finish line in 7:55.87. The 4V4 boat also raced well, finishing fourth in 8:20.91, showing depth in Gonzaga's varsity four lineup.

Gonzaga's 2V4 and 1V4 boats each delivered strong second-place finishes, with the 2V4 coming home in 7:44.82 and the 1V4 in 7:49.00. Both races were closely contested, with the Bulldogs keeping pace with OSU throughout and showcasing the team's consistency across the four-seat events.

The Bulldogs also made their mark in the eights, posting three second-place finishes. The 2V8 crossed in 7:07.92, the 1V8 finished at 7:13.78, and the 3V8 rounded out the day with a 7:43.91 finish. Each boat challenged OSU every step of the way, highlighting Gonzaga's depth and resilience across the varsity eights.

Up next, GU races their non-conference boats at home against Washington State on April 3.
